Well its finally there, thanks to the efforts of Doug who has invested his own time and money to put a permanent gas mixing station in Truk, for what must be a fairly small number of divers coming through. It's been pumping gas for about 2 months now, and it was real tempting to fax that resignation letter back home and just stay there. I have not dove with Doug, I just took these shots on the layover day I had before I flew back home in mid August. I make no claims as to the current accuracy of the prices etc, as always please check directly with Doug at bldiveshop@mail.fm for the latest info. Just bear in mind that he lives in Truk and communications can be a little slow at times. He currently has to borrow a phone line etc etc. As with all things new, he is having to take a lot of time explaining the benefits of trimix and technical diving to the local dive guides, so don't expect the same service you might get at a full service dive shop in the US or UK. Come prepared, but the wrecks are well worth the effort. Doug is pretty helpful and will do his best to try and get you what you need providing you can give him enough notice.
